b.social’s purpose is to bring people together and help build a better community.  We love providing a welcoming place for people to come together and make connections.

Wanaka local, James Hay started brewing refreshing, sessionable craft beers under the b.effect name back in 2015. In 2019, James teamed up with Matt and Anna Laming to create b.social, a local brewery  taproom serving up delicious craft beers and tasty food in the heart of Anderson Heights.

b.social officially opened in November 2019 and is the place to meet after a day mission, Today b.social offers 24 taps and has something for everyone, from b.effect beers, wine, kombuchas, alcoholic ginger beer, cocktails and everchanging guest beers. 

Within the first year of operations, b.social expanded their taproom by taking over the brewery and b.effect brewery taking over the lease of the whole building. You can sit and enjoy your lunch while watching the b.effect team work away in the brewery preparing the newest beer to add to the taps. 

If you find a drop you love, takeaway b.effect beverages in cans or purchase a rigger for filling. Just like the taps, b.social’s food menu provides a little something different yet also something for everyone.

So rock up grab a table inside or out, bring the kids, even your dog and have a pint already.
